This delightful 12th Century Monastery and nearby Romanesque church immersed in the Tuscan countryside, situated at 700m and near to the Vallombrosa National Park.
 
This location overlooks the Rufina Valley, famous for Chianti wine and within easy reach of the historical centre of Florence.

Between the 12th and 17th Centuries it was a refuge for the inhabitants of the nearby villages and because of it’s strategic geographical position became an ideal resting place for the pilgrims on their way to the sacred Camaldoli Hermitage.

Today, you can still experience the special atmosphere of this monastery. It has been carefully renovated into three lovely apartments with gardens ideal for relaxing and sunbathing. the charming cloister is a perfect setting for a pleasant dining; the monks’hall, originally founded in 1680, has been carefully restored and today is an ideal place for meetings, cultural events and weedings”. The apartments may be rented on an individual basis or together for a group of families and friends. Suitable for sporting activities such as mountain bikes, running or horseback riding.
